Darlene E. Kiernan "Vanden Berge"

- Savannah -Darlene E. "Vanden Berge" Kiernan passed away peacefully at her home with her husband and children at her side on August 2, 2006. She was born on September 28, 1929 in Orange City, IA. She graduated from Northwestern College and taught the elementary grades in Orange City and LeMars, IA and Vermillion. SD. In later years she was active in the Jasper County Medical Auxiliary and Newton, IA YMCA boards.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Tom Kiernan, a daughter, Jane and husband James Kray and their two children, as well as a son James Kiernan and wife Rita with their three children.
